Who we are

the makings of a family. imperfect we are. saved by grace we are. loved by our Savior we are. serving Him in faith and action we are. follow us as we strive to magnify the Lord in all we do and are becoming.

hot and cold

after a relaxing and work-filled Christmas-time, the time came for me to take a break. this year was different because for the first time i did not have a 3 week break from school. i guess it was time i entered the "real" world. so after working everyday but Christmas - i left for a 12 day adventure. 6 days in florida - 6 days in michigan.

the first half of my trip i "worked." my U-16 Nike Girls Team participated at the Disney Showcase in Orlando, FL. soccer never really seems like work to me. lots of time and energy spent but i love it. even though the girls did not advance out of their bracket, the experience proved educational. through my involvement with the Colorado Rush, i have benefited from excellent coaching and continue to learn much. overall...time well spent in sunny, hot (two 80 degree days) florida.

the second half. i flew from sunny, humid florida to overcast, rainy michigan. but what awaited me there was better than anything i could have hoped for in florida. my sisters, parents, and the CUTEST kids you have ever seen. Austin, Tori, Logan, and Madi picked me up from the airport. 6 days later, with only 3 exursions outiside of the house (one without the kids), it was time to come home.

what a great way to spend 12 days. i was sad to leave but could not help being ready to come home. to head west. to wake up and view the beautiful rocky mountains. they did not disappoint. i have come to love Colorado's hot and cold weather. 79 degrees on Christmas day and 36 degrees on Jan. 8th...what more could i ask for? maybe four cute kids... (pictures to follow)
