Who we are

the makings of a family. imperfect we are. saved by grace we are. loved by our Savior we are. serving Him in faith and action we are. follow us as we strive to magnify the Lord in all we do and are becoming.

have you seen this movie? if not i highly recommend it. my roommate was watching it tonight and i popped in and out a few times. i could not sit through the entire movie again because it is extremely powerful and hard to digest sometimes. as i am emotional a lot of the time right now in my life...i opted out to try and get to bed. as the night would have it...i finished the movie standing up trying to leave the room yet unable to walk away.

it is all too hard to put into words.

how many countries have endured genocide like this?
how does a world of people, watch and turn their eyes away pretending not to notice?
what would you do if a gun was pointed at your head?
what would you do if the person standing next to you was shot...for no reason except they wore glasses?

i have witnessed the ruins and visited a country torn apart by genocide...what do we do?
what should we not do when situations like this arise?

too many thoughts and emotions to clearly explain.

sleep might help.
i thank God i am able to sleep...without the not so distant sounds of gunshots and screams.

God Bless.

  1. Wow, that movie was overwhelming. We have it so easy! Never once have I feared for my life, never once have I had to duck into a bush for fear of a bullet going into my body. So much hatred, so much misunderstanding, so much sin. May the God of PEACE who passed ALL understanding be the One to save, because I certainly have not the strength.
