Who we are

the makings of a family. imperfect we are. saved by grace we are. loved by our Savior we are. serving Him in faith and action we are. follow us as we strive to magnify the Lord in all we do and are becoming.

i disappear

for some reason i disappear...often. i do not understand why i do this or how, really i don't. i think of all the people i am unable to see on a daily basis fairly frequently. some daily, and yet i do not keep in contact. in the past this has even included my parent. go figure...the only 2 people (maybe my sisters should be added in) in the world who have always loved me and always will...i disappear from. this has become a habit over the last 4 years of my life. if i take a quick glance at the heart of the issue, i would say it is time. i am a very busy person. but that just seems like a crap answer and an excuse. so i am beginning to take a deeper look at myself and my life...to try and figure out why it is i choose to disappear at times.

any ideas? do you disappear on purpose? perhaps everyone does this? somehow i think i do it all too often and on purpse...but without really knowing i am doing it.

i would love your thoughts.

in hopes of writing more frequently and on purpose trying to be present.

  1. hey...glad you're back. you know, i think there are times where somebody else needs to take the initiative and reach out to us...and that in turn helps us keep reaching out back to them, or whoever. it sounds selfish, but we're wired to respond, and not just initiate. i have a friend who calls me about monthly, just to stay in touch. he's helped me to not disappear, cuz i think i have a tendency to do that too. in fact, every time he calls, i'm surprised. like 'what, he still wants to know my day to day?'
    anyway, i'm with ya, rudes
    love ya

  4. We all get so caught up with our day-to-day lives that we don't take the time to reach out to the ones who we love that are far away. Just know that you are always in our hearts and thought of often even though we seem to "disappear" too.
