christmastime

as i begin to post, i want to let all of you who don't know - where i live and a little of what i have been doing.

i work at starbucks, the rhyme and reason for thousands of people. i am constantly amazed by people and their orders..."i would like a decaf tall (in a grande cup), 4 pump vanilla, 1/2 soy, 1/2 nonfat, 1 equal, 175 degree latte. i love it...most days it makes me smile.
i also work for the Colorado Rush...one of the largest competitive soccer clubs in Colorado and the United States. this past fall i coached a U-15 girls Advanced team along with asissting the U-16 girls Nike team. Nike teams are the top level and well...the advanced teams are a few levels below that. this spring i will be coaching a U-13 girls team. it should be lots of fun.

and last but not least...i live with two amazing girls in a lovely century old house. Dawn Koch and Laura Osborne are my two roommates. i met dawn at Indiana Wesleyan and met laura when they came out in may to look for places to live. both of them attended Grace College and received masters in counseling.

our house is downtown denver and is in the vicinity of Capitol Hill and Cheesman Park. City Cheesman and City Park are only 3 blocks away...i love it! last week i went to a christmas party with my friend eric...here is a picture of the front of our house...i had to put the explanation of the christmas party because i usually do not take pictures outside of my house in nice formal dresses.

that is my semi-short, comprehensive update for now. i hope you all had a Merry Christmas!!!! it's the most wonderful time of the year...

Hey Mel! This is a great idea! Now I can 'hear' from you every day. I love your pictures since I've never seen your house. And you look beautiful in the dress. You clean up very nice!!:)By the way, just like you, I also take orders during the day.Todays orders were,"Mommy when aunt melissa gets here we can play the game she got for me okay?." And then there's the ever famous quote,(Tori)"She's MY missa!" We love you and can't wait to see you! And as a side note, for future reference, Madi does NOT like the bean dip I ate today! I love you! Paula

Rudy! How cool to hear your update! I found you through coach's blog =)....what I think is funny is that the picture of your house (which is so cool by the way) could have easily been taken in December, sunny as ever!

    what is your email?
